Bergamot is mostly found in Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, and Ivory Coast. It is largely produced in Italy, California, and Mediterranean countries.
Traditionally, Bergamot oil was used as a flavoring in Earl Grey tea, perfumes and as a remedy for fever. It is a light greenish yellow colored, thin, citrusy, spicy, sweet and floral scented essential oil. The main chemical constituents in bergamot essential oil are limonene, linalyl acetate, nerol, and linalool.
